Stockholm World Water Week 2019
The Stockholm World Water Week(SWWW) is a major international event, bringing together researchers, policy-makers, businesses, and community
members from around the world. Through a combination of presentations, interactive talks, inspiring side-events, and social events, the SWWW is a focal point for new ideas and creative solutions relating to all parts of the water sector.
This year, the theme for the SWWW is “Water for society – Including all.” Aligning closely with the UN 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2019 edition of the SWWW attract a diverse group of participants.
Going beyond the main theme, the discussions and events at the SWWW will be enriched by its diverse participants. The SWWW also features the prestigious Stockholm Water Prize and the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
The Water Youth Network at Stockholm World Water Week
The Water Youth Network will serve as a key collaborating partner to the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in organizing the Stockholm World Water Week 2019 (SWWW19). Thrilled at this opportunity, we are continuing to work for meaningful youth involvement and inter-generational interactions.
SIWI is supporting young professionals by directly encouraging their participation in so-called gold standard sessions, which were a great success last year, and by organizing special events catered to young professionals. Partnering with the Water Youth Network helps support young professionals and youth at the SWWW19. We are thrilled about this partnership and look forward to helping to catalyze youth involvement, organize engaging side events, and have members of our youth delegation present across diverse events at the SWWW19.
