Youth Science Policy Interface Platform on DRR

Are you ready to contribute to the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) with your scientific knowledge?

There is currently a great opportunity for young students and professionals to share their knowledge on DRR and contribute to the science-policy interface during the upcoming UNISDR Science and Technology Conference by attendingsubmitting a poster and/or applying to be a youth speaker on DRR.

This is part of a greater effort by the UN Major Group of Children and Youth supported by the Water Youth Network to co-develop a youth platform to support the integration of science into DRR policy implementation, monitoring and review. This effort is a follow up action from the Children and Youth Forum at the Third World Conference on DRR and the participation of youth in the design of the SFDRR. You can find further information about these outcomes in the following journal publicationshort video and final report.
